The company has been investing in research to maximize production efficiency and reduce the costs of apple cultivation.
Through the Appleplus project, started in July 2016, Schio has been evaluating the technical
efficiency of different anti-hail screens for the development, production and quality of Fuji and Gala apples.
This project is being carried out in partnership with Embrapa and will last for the next 5 years.
In two years of research conducted in conjunction
with Embrapa, it was possible to verify the positive
effect of drip Irrigation on
cultivars of the Gala and Fuji group.
The growth of the plants was confirmed
and represented through increased height and
greater number of branches.
